Pokhara Engineering College was established in 1999, aiming to shoulder overwhelming figures of technical students in the western region. From the beginning of the day, Pokhara Engineering College has been attempting many possible steps to get into the technical solutions of even common problems. Continuous efforts from every touching employee and student contribute Pokhara Engineering College to receive the perfect recognition to both national and international universities, companies, and research organization as well. Pokhara Engineering College is proud to have its location in Pokhara, which is the prime picturesque spot of entire Nepal. In addition, the city boasts of a friendly small town atmosphere combined with distinctive natural, cultural and recreational opportunities. Equally eye catching are pollution free environment, green lake, green forests and finally crowned by Annapurna range. Having such an incredible environment, Pokhara Engineering College found that the students are happy to study with active participation in every activity.

Pokhara Engineering College is the fruitful outcome of the scholarly interaction among dynamic entrepreneurs, distinguished professionals and eminent intellectuals, who visualized the concept of an “Outstanding Educational Organization” having a unique academic philosophy abundant resources and adequate facilities to prepare the youth of today for creative and productive manpower.

OBJECTIVES

PEC has established with the primary objectives of

Imparting distinctive quality education in the discipline of Engineering and Technology
Promoting the college as research center equipped with modern technological equipments, such that the research and innovation relating to Engineering could be made possible with in door.
Assure accessibility of Engineering Education to the deprived and talented members of the society
Developing the scenic Pokhara valley as the quality technical education center
Developing physical, intellectual and spiritual potential of a person to foster self-assurance and self-esteemed traits in the being.

INFRASTRUCTURE

PEC is proud to have started its initial academic session within its own premises, comprising of three huge five storied structures, having all the essential modern amenities for the effective implementation of high quality technical education.

CLASS ROOMS

PEC preserves adequate and spacious Lecture Halls, well furnished and equipped with all the modern teaching aids.

The classes at PEC are conducted throughout the weekdays according to the under mentioned schedule:

COMPUTER CENTER

To develop and enhance students’ skill in computing, which is considered one of the major requirements for Engineering Professionals, PEC is reinforced intermittently with modern Computer Laboratories consisting of all the latest Computer Hardware and Software facilities which the students are greatly encouraged to utilize that remains open even after College hours. In the support college has been providing advanced computer training in its wing division CITD for enhancing extra capability of students pertaining to the field of computer.

ACCOMODATION

Pokhara Engineering College is pleased to provide facilitated hostel in its own building within the college premises comprising of decently furnished and spacious accommodation, in addition to a well balanced vegetarian diet, at reasonable rates.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, GAMES AND SPORTS

PEC provides adequate indoors/outdoors-recreational facilities to promote not only physical development of the students but also other personal qualities like team work, co-operation, charity, tolerance and understanding.

For better understanding, co-operation, and cordial relationship between the students and the management of PEC, besides promoting students’ activities like educational enhancement, cultural programs, carrier development, personal counseling, sports and games development etc, a non political students’ society is constituted at Pokhara Engineering College. This Students’ Society consisting of student members under the active guidance of selected faculty members, works towards the physical, spiritual, ethical, and intellectual development of the students.

ACADEMIC COUNCIL

In order to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and research activities, PEC has established an academic council to monitor guide and assist in policy formulation, developing strategy and selection of efficient manpower. Along with some college representatives, the members of the council are successful and renowned academicians of nation and belong to different Universities.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Students/Guardians,

Pokhara Engineering College has been able to recognize it as a well known reputed college in the western region, where a junior genius of High School/Intermediate level student finds it as his/her future discovering center with excellent educational background. It is also a pioneer college of this region for Bachelors of engineering studies in private sector.

We, at the inception of the college, had a view to provide quality education in the engineering sector especially in Bachelors level through private effort, to the students not only of this region but also all part of the nation and international as well. We, in this respect, find ourselves glorified to see our dream come true. Standing at this stage, when we look back to our restless moments of day and night hard works to give birth, nurture and grow this infant, we feel relaxed to see it standing here at this position with many moments of triumph in its pocket.

Students are our heart; we are always overwhelmed from their achievements. We can count a score of them set in key positions of different establishments of education, industry, trade and technology. Many are at government and semi-government offices of their level. The number is not less who has been pursuing higher studies of their choices in full/partial scholarship in the renowned universities of the country and aboard.

We know the limit of height to jump with happiness. Our challenges have not eradicated not lessened but instead they have aroused more shaped edges. Our cuddle with guardian’s feelings and aspiration always gets tough priority. We know their expectations are high with time span. They like to see there eventual engineers capable and well versed with existing technologies and their advancement. We are committed to prove ourselves true to it, confronting student with ins and outs of the technical world through relevant solutions, and fostering them to advance with their full potentiality. A decade of long walk has experienced us a lot. Conducting institution with out being prone to earning is one of them which led us to provide competent education at a cost affordable to all class level.

Our senior group of consistent teaching faculties, committed management bodies and amenities at our disposal are as circulating warm blood in us to action out what we have committed.
